# Risks

Stableigen involves inherent DeFi risks:

#### Lending Protocol Risk (Morpho)

* Risk of insolvency from underlying collateral.
  * The core thesis behind having only exremely robust and battletested colalteral (limited to BTC and Ethereum LSTs) is in order to mitigate this risk.

#### Smart Contract Risk

* Vulnerabilities in Morpho, EigenLayer, or AVSs.
  * All of them have billions secured and audits from top-tier firms.

#### Curator and Collateral Risk

* Risk from curators managing vaults in Morpho.

#### Restaking and AVS Execution Risk

* Risks of slashing or operational failures in EigenLayer and AVSs from part of partner operators.
