# Overview

Stableigen is a decentralized stablecoin protocol issuing seUSD, a fully-collateralized stablecoin optimized for DeFi-native yield. seUSD deposits are deployed exclusively into Morpho markets, collateralized solely by BTC (cbBTC/WBTC) and Ethereum liquid staking tokens (LSTs), minimizing protocol and governance risk exposure.

Depositors mint seUSD with USD stablecoins (USDC, USDT and USDS), which are then converted into yield-generating Morpho receipt tokens. These tokens are subsequently restaked via EigenLayer to secure Actively Validated Services (AVSs), enhancing returns through additional AVS rewards and Eigen points.

Yield generated through lending and restaking is redistributed directly to seUSD holders via an ERC-4626 staking mechanism, creating an appreciating yield-bearing stablecoin (steUSD).
